Society needs to change - let's change it together.

Right now, society is facing some big challenges. They are messy, complex and shaped by systems that have been there for decades.  They’re not going away on their own.

At Leeds Institute for Societal Futures, we want this to change. We believe that engaging everyone in research is the best way to make a difference. We create the space for all of us to find solutions together, breaking down the barriers between research and real life. We bring together universities, communities, industries and policymakers to tackle complex challenges from all angles. We do this locally, nationally and globally.

We’re also equipping the next generation to do the same.  Through our challenge-led education programmes, we train the leaders of the future to improve society not just by being experts, but by being collaborators, facilitators and changemakers as well.

Want to change things with us? Let’s get to work.
