Creative Health MASc
Creativity can play a powerful role in improving health and wellbeing. From tackling loneliness and supporting mental health, to addressing health inequalities and strengthening communities, Creative Health is becoming an increasingly important part of how we respond to today's societal challenges.
But how can we design creative health initiatives that are inclusive, ethical and capable of delivering meaningful change?
This Masters degree will provide you with the knowledge, practical skills and interdisciplinary perspective to become a leader in the growing field of Creative Health. The course is ideal for students and professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, including arts and culture, health and care, education, social sciences, community development and public policy.
Developed and taught by Leeds Institute for Societal Futures, you'll explore how creativity and community can contribute to healthier lives, while working across disciplines and sectors to address real-world challenges.
You'll engage with some of the key questions shaping Creative Health today, such as:
- How can creative approaches improve health and wellbeing?
- What role can Creative Health play in addressing inequality and social isolation?
- How can communities, practitioners and organisations work together ethically and effectively?
- What evidence is needed to demonstrate impact?
- How do policy, funding and health systems shape Creative Health practice?
- How can we design and evaluate effective Creative Health interventions?
Through the Leeds Institute for Societal Futures Project Labs, you'll apply your learning to a substantial project connected to your interests and future career ambitions.
Once you graduate, you'll be equipped with a distinctive set of interdisciplinary skills that are increasingly sought after across creative, health, community and policy sectors.
