Polarisation, Trust and Social Cohesion

Division is a choice. How do we choose connection instead?

Democratic values and social bonds are under pressure. Polarisation is increasing, misinformation is spreading, and trust in institutions is fading.

We’re teaming up with cultural organisations, journalists, policymakers, and communities to build a future where trust is widespread, conversations are open and honest, and democracy is for all.

Our goals: 

• Counter polarisation – by exposing the tactics that fuel division.
• To use art, culture and creativity – to bring people together, share stories, and help communities engage with politics.
• To rebuild trust in the institutions that matter – especially the media, science, and government, where public confidence is waning.
• To stop the spread of false information – preserve fact, and make sure that everyone can hear a wide range of opinions.
• To stand up for democratic principles – like fairness, equality, and freedom in a time when shared truths are under pressure.
