Learn About Our New AI Ethics and Society MSc
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping every part of society – from healthcare and creative industries to public services, democracy and the information we trust. But with opportunity comes complex ethical, social and technical questions.
Launching in September 2026, the AI Ethics and Society MSc will equip future leaders to navigate these challenges responsibly. Developed with partners across local government, technology, creative industries and the third sector, this interdisciplinary course draws on insights from more than ten academic disciplines and has been shaped with direct input from students.

Module topics in the MSc will explore questions such as:
- How do we deploy AI responsibly across different sectors?
- What does AI mean for democracy and public trust?
- How is AI shaping misinformation and disinformation?
- How do we govern AI in a rapidly changing technological landscape?
The course is offered by Leeds Institute for Societal Futures, where collaborators come together to address complex societal challenges through research, education and innovation.
